Who I am
I'm Aftab Alam, from Peshawar. My academic background is in artificial intelligence: I am currently studying for an MS in Artificial Intelligence at City University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar. I started Fumie in 2022 because I wanted perfume that holds up in our weather — long-lasting, honestly described and fairly priced.
What I do
I run Fumie day to day. I decide which scents we make, test how each one wears in our weather, and talk to customers myself on WhatsApp — before they buy and after their parcel arrives. Every Fumiefragrance is a full 50ml Eau de Parfum, developed and tested for how it performs in Pakistan's climate, not only for how it smells in the first five minutes.
Where AI comes in
My training in AI shapes how I run the business more than how the perfume is made. I look closely at what customers actually order, how long scents really last, and what people ask before they buy — and I let that decide what we make and how we describe it. It is why every product page tells you plainly how long a scent lasts and when your parcel will arrive.
